The objectives of the GSA by sponsoring meetings are to: provide a central resource for information; promote the communication and publication of scientific discoveries; to provide education to researchers in genetics; and to encourage interaction among scientists from a variety of biological sciences who share a common interest in genetics. GSA members number over 4,100 researchers from commercial, government and university settings as well as academicians and students. The GSA membership is united by a commitment to disseminating the latest genetics research. The purpose of the Yeast Genetics and Molecular Biology Meeting is to further the education of scientists working in the field of yeast. |
