HOUSING AND MEALS

Princeton University Campus Housing

Deadline for receipt of advance housing reservations is Friday, June 23, 2006.
The online housing reservation site is now closed. .

Guests of the Meeting will be housed in three separate air-conditioned residence halls on the Princeton University campus. One of these, Forbes College, will also be the meeting headquarters. All residence halls are located within a 5- to 10-minute walk of McCarter Theater, the primary meeting venue. Please refer to the campus map. Each dormitory room is furnished with a twin bed, dresser, closet, desk and chair per occupant. Residence hall rooms are supplied with linens; however, beds are not made for arrival. Participants will be supplied with linens, including two sheets, one pillow and pillow case, one summer blanket and two towels. Each dormitory is equipped with complimentary laundry facilities and a common lounge area. Rooms are either single occupancy or suite-style double occupancy. Smoking is prohibited in all Princeton University residence halls.

All guests of the Meeting will be able to find accommodation on campus; however, reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. The housing fee of $425.00/person for single occupancy and $370/person for double occupancy includes five nights (Tuesday, July 25, through Saturday, July 29) and meals (dinner on Tuesday, July 25, through lunch on Sunday, July 30). To request a roommate, please indicate that person’s name on the housing registration form (only those guests respectively requesting one another will be honored). Guests may arrive one day early and/or stay one day late at an additional cost of $41/night/single or $30/night/double (meals are NOT available for the additional nights). All meals offer vegetarian selections, however vegan meals and other special dietary preferences may not be accommodated.

Guests should be aware that these are college dormitories and while they are clean and comfortable, they should not be compared to hotels or apartment buildings. The Office of Conference & Events Services is supporting this event and will be available to help make your Princeton experience as productive and enjoyable as possible.

Forbes College

From its inception in 1925, until it was acquired by Princeton University in 1970 as the school’s second undergraduate residential college, Forbes College served as the Princeton Inn, a hotel nestled close to campus. Guests staying at Forbes today will find the building has retained its original charm, overlooking the Springdale Golf Course and the picturesque Graduate College, with the addition of modern facilities. Most rooms are single occupancy, containing private baths. Guests should note that all Meeting meals will be served at Forbes College.

Scully Hall and Bloomberg Hall

The more modern features of Scully and Bloomberg showcase the University’s spectrum of architectural design. Scully Hall, built in 1999, has single and multiple occupancy rooms with semi-private baths. Bloomberg Hall, one of eight dormitories belonging to Butler Residential College built in 2004, is located adjacent to Scully Hall. Bloomberg’s common bathrooms are located on each floor, one each for men and women. Although Bloomberg Hall will host one other meeting during the week, at no time should this interfere with your stay as all guests of YGM will be housed in close proximity of one another.
